My name is Jacob Lott. I was introduced into the world of photography through a beginner level film photography class in my sophomore year of high school. My grandpa showed me the ins and outs of his old film camera that he used to use when he was first getting into photography. From that day on my perspective of the world has changed. Everywhere I go I find myself looking for the best angle to capture the moment, even when I don't have my camera. Beginning to tap into my potential in photography has allowed me to find beauty in the simple things in life. I begin to look at everything I see through a lens, and think about all of the words that the picture conveys. I believe that every picture you take should mean something and should have a story behind it. Each picture I take has its own unique story, and I enjoy sharing that story with whoever will take a glance. I began shooting with my grandpas old film camera for the last semester of my sophomore year and throughout that summer and the first semester of my junior year. Beginning the second semester I got my first digital camera: a Canon Rebel t6i. That brings to where I'm at today. I am beginning to discover the world in a new lens and enjoying every detail.
